The Amp Way
We succeed in our mission and achieve our vision by operating safely, reducing greenhouse gases, improving air quality, providing well-paying jobs in rural communities, and creating superior financial returns for our employees and our shareholders.
We conduct our work with a shared understanding of the Amp Way:
Safety
We work safely. Safety is our number one priority in everything we do. We will devote resources to train and equip our people to work safely and eliminate workplace hazards.
We expect zero injuries and zero harm to health, safety, and the environment. All injuries are preventable, health risks are controllable, and each of us is accountable to make this so.
Trusting Relationships
We treat everyone with respect unconditionally. We demand respect from others. We do everything in our power to earn and command respect by living our values.
We value action over words.
Yet, our words matter. We do what we say we will do.
We are here for the long-haul. We act urgently, but we are disciplined and patient. We do not trade short-term gains for long-term sustainability.
Excellence
We each give all of our professional creative energy to our mission.
We demand honesty of ourselves and our partners. If we say it, we have proof to back it up. If we are not sure, we explain our assumptions. If we are mistaken, we own the mistake without qualification.
We will know more than anyone else about our field because we work incessantly to stay ahead.
Entrepreneurship
We are the innovators. We cannot outsource innovation. Our job is to continually invent new ways to ensure we achieve our mission.
We are the underdog. Whether we’ve just succeeded or failed. Whether we’re ahead or behind. Someone is always trying to eat our lunch, and they will if we don’t jealously protect our “Day 1” mindset.
We are biased to action. Leadership has an obligation to consider dissent, but we will not be deterred or delayed by indecision. Once the decision is made, EVERYONE must be committed. We will move forward and fail fast. We will learn from our mistakes, and we will not make them twice.
Our team is our strongest weapon. The team depends on individuals striving toward a common goal. We create our own opportunities, and we support each other to achieve our shared mission. We are creators and not order-takers. Personal advancement and status are byproducts of team achievement not our primary goals.
Personal Responsibility
We are owners. Our job is to make our mission happen. We rely on partners and we choose them freely. If our partners do not deliver, it is our responsibility, our money, our legacy. We will choose partners that embrace and live our values.
Sustainability requires profitability. If we do not create economic value, our environmental impacts will not sustain.
If we disagree, we say so. Everyone in our organization, regardless of hierarchy, has an obligation to speak up when they disagree with a proposed course of action or anything material that impacts our company’s mission.
We value diversity and will act to increase the diversity of our team in gender, race, lifestyle, and viewpoint. We will prioritize diversity in our recruiting, hiring, and workforce development. We will protect an inclusive work environment by living our core values.
Not everyone can accept our mission and our culture. For those who embrace the Amp Way, we commit to changing the world together and creating an unparalleled experience.
