Vp of operations

Steve Schaar joined Amp Americas in Oct 2024 as Vice President of Operations. Steve oversees the company’s field operations and is responsible for ensuring our teams are successful to meet our budget and operational excellence goals safely.

Steve brings over 30 years of experience in operations, project delivery, new product development, and large capital growth.  Steve led international expansion projects for John Deere Crop Harvesting and operations for GE Oil & Gas as well as Ford Motor Company. Steve recently led a $180MM public/private partnership funded wastewater treatment facility conversion to Renewable Natural Gas in Pasco, Washington.  Prior to joining Amp, Steve was COO of Active Energy Group, a London based renewable energy company focused on the development of torrefied fuel and pyrolysis project programs in the US.

Steve earned his MBA from Baker College and his Bachelor of Science in Automated Manufacturing Engineering Technology from the University of Akron. Steve is a certified project management professional and Six Sigma Black Belt. Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and enjoys weightlifting, golf, and martial arts.
