RD Ahlers

CHIEF Accounting OFFICER

RD Ahlers is CAO of Amp Americas. He joined the company in September 2016 as controller and took over the CAO role in 2019. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting, finance and trading operations.

Prior to working at Amp Americas, RD spent two years as the assistant controller at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, where he was responsible for managing the accounting close process, financial reporting and technical accounting issues. RD was also responsible for evaluating the company’s processes and identifying areas to improve scalability and efficiency.

Prior to Cooper’s Hawk, RD was at Grant Thornton LLP for seven years where he worked as a manager in the audit department. At Grant Thornton, he specialized in serving both publicly and privately held manufacturing and retail clients, gaining SEC financial reporting and internal control experience. RD also obtained significant international experience at Grant Thornton, working directly with clients throughout Asia, Australia and Europe.

RD received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Marketing from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Outside of work, RD enjoys traveling to new cities and spending time around Chicago with his wife, two daughters and their dog.
