Amp Americas Announces $75 Million Investment For New Dairy RNG Developments, Plus New Investment In Its Flagship Indiana Projects

Amp Americas Launches Operating Services Business and Expands RNG Marketing and Risk Management Business

CHICAGO (July 2019) – Amp Americas, a pioneer in the renewable transportation fuel industry, today announced a $75 million investment for new dairy RNG projects. The capital commitment is led by EIV Capital and includes participation from existing Amp investors. The company today also announced the successful closing of a new investment by an unnamed infrastructure investor in its three flagship Indiana dairy Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects, the largest on-farm biogas to fuel operations in the country.

The $75 million commitment will support Amp Americas’ continued investment in new dairy RNG projects. The company is set to break ground on two additional midwestern dairy biogas projects later this year with operations to begin in the fall of 2020.

“EIV has been a fantastic partner in project development, and we’re excited to embark on our next round of development with them,” said Zimmerman.

The new investment in Amp’s flagship RNG projects announced today supports the continued growth and momentum that Amp Americas has built within the dairy RNG business as the first company to bring dairy RNG to market and the only producer that delivers dairy RNG to California fleets under the Low Carbon Fuel Standard. Amp Americas maintains an interest in the Indiana projects and will continue to operate and manage the landmark biogas facilities, market the RNG to fleet customers and manage commercial risk for the projects.

“We’re excited about this new chapter of growth. We will continue to promote the proliferation of RNG to improve air quality and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through both the development of new dairy RNG projects as well as with our marketing and risk management business,” said Grant Zimmerman, CEO of Amp Americas. “Our newest partner is a strong company with an established track record in this space, and our Indiana assets fit well with their large and growing portfolio of digester-based waste-to-energy projects.”

Amp Americas today also announced that the company has launched an operating services business and the expansion of its RNG marketing and risk management business. The move brings the company’s unique expertise and capability in biogas operations and gas marketing to other RNG producers, fleets, and their capital partners.
